About J.C Seedoyal

J.C. Seedoyal is a passionate educator and writer. He was born in the coastal town of Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia. He inherited a rich cultural heritage,  consisting of both Chilean and Mauritian backgrounds.

Growing up in the Illawarra from the late 1980s through the early 2000s gave his childhood a rhythm that feels increasingly rare in hindsight. Days were shaped by salt air, familiar streets, but not necessarily feeling the comfort of knowing he belonged outside the family. 

Coming from a mixed cultural background added another layer to that experience, quietly shaping how he saw the world and his place within it, and often setting him apart in small but meaningful ways. Family sat at the centre of everything, providing some stability as the years rolled on and the world slowly changed. Those moments simple and unremarkable at the time became the foundation of his memories, shaping both his sense of home and the person he would become.

For a decade, J.C. has also worked as a high school teacher at a number of schools, where he dedicates himself to inspiring young minds to think critically, express themselves confidently, and strive for their personal best.

His writing is shaped by his lived experiences. From navigating life, love, grief, mental health, and neurodivergence as well as his lifelong love of literature and the connections he’s built with the people around him. J.C. writes with the intention to entertain, offer insight, and evoke empathy. 

With every piece he pens, he aims to share stories that resonate deeply, spark reflection, and celebrate the beauty and complexity of the human condition. He also hopes to continue writing many books that not only engage readers but offer wisdom and comfort in the moments they need it most.
